It never fails, my kids tell me minutes before they are having a group of kids come over or that they need something for their bake sale at 8 PM the night before!

So, what do you do? Well, I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve for exactly this occasion.

One of my go-to cookie recipes, when I am in a pinch, is our 3-ingredient cake mix cookies! These will literally be ready in under 15 minutes!

But, if you are looking to take your cookie hacks to the next level, I will tell you a little secret… I keep a container of refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough and a bag of Reese’s Bite-Sized Peanut Butter Cups in case of a dessert emergency! These Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bites will be the best seller at your next bake sale!!

How did I learn about this “always be prepared for dessert” hack?

So the other night we went out to dinner with our friends, Danny & Sherrie. We decided to go back to their house for dessert – Sherrie said she could whip something up.

We told her we didn’t want her to go through the trouble, we could just grab something on the way – she swore to us it really wasn’t any trouble.

So when Sherrie pulled these Reese’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Bites out of the oven I begged her for the recipe!

When she told me the recipe I couldn’t believe it -not to mention my recent obsession with bite-sized anything!!! (When they are bite-sized the calories don’t actually count – true story!!)

I get asked all the time what kind of mini muffin pan I use because my cups pop out so easily. I live for anything silicon and this is the muffin pan I use!

  1. Made these you need to put down only to use silicone pans cause no matter what I did the cookies stuck to the pan and they fell apart so wont make these again.

  2. 2 stars
So, is the total time 10, 12, or 15 minutes? Because this horribly written piece said it was all 3 of these. Please learn to write, before you post again. And this isn’t a recipe.

  3. I have been making similar with boxed or packaged peanut butter cookie mix. Good to know about the chocolate chip!

Ya know there are some pretty rotten remarks on here. Figure things out folks. It’s not difficult. Use liner papers if your worried about it sticking. it’s pretty basic. Size an amount of Cookie dough, bake it. Oven times vary so watch til their done. She’s trying to give a quick yummy recipe. Lighten up James. Good grief. thanks for the RECIPE Jennifer 🙂

      1. I agree with you Kathy! c’mon people, it’s a TWO INGREDIENT RECIPE!! telling her to “learn to write”, and saying that “this isn’t a recipe.” really? well, it surely seems too complicated for you, Jamie!!! maybe you’d better not attempt this!! LOL! jeez, she shares a lovely and quick baking idea here, and she gets attacked. wow, people. and yes, thanks, Jennifer.

  4. This looks great. Our littles love these ingredients. I wondered if you make the thumbprint before or after the cookie is baked?
    Thanks for the recipe!
