Substitutions and Additions

  • Delicious Dippers: While graham crackers will give you the classic s’mores taste, there are so many other fun ways to scoop up this sweet dip. Some of my favorites include:
    • Fresh Fruit: Apple slices, banana slices, whole strawberries, tangerine slices, or pineapple.
    • Sweet: Biscotti, vanilla wafers, Biscoff cookies, animal crackers, shortbread cookies, Teddy Grahams, Oreos, ladyfingers, and of course, graham crackers!
    • Salty: Ritz crackers, pretzel rods, or even thick-cut potato chips taste great.
  • Choose Your Chocolate: You can use the classic Hershey’s chocolate bars, chocolate chunks, or chocolate chips (dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or semi-sweet chocolate). Feel free to toss in a handful of peanut butter or butterscotch chips too!

Tips

  • I recommend using Cool Whip that is extremely fresh (just opened for the first time) and is very chilled.
  • For this recipe, I highly recommend using a stand mixer or a hand mixer. This isn’t a recipe you can make by hand with a whisk.

Storage Tips

  • To Store: You can store your fluff in the refrigerator in an air-tight container for up to 4 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make my S’mores Fluff in advance?

Yes, you can make your fluff in advance. It will be good for up to 4 days ahead of time if stored in an air-tight container in the fridge.

Can this recipe be made with whipped cream instead of cool whip?

You can make this with homemade whipped cream but not canned whipped cream.

What is the best chocolate to use for this recipe?

Hershey’s chocolate bar is always my go-to chocolate with s’mores. Feel free to change it up with other types of chocolate bars too! I love caramel-filled chocolate bars for an over-the-top s’mores dip, cookies and cream chocolate bars, or if you are in a pinch, milk chocolate chips!
