No Bake Millionaire Pie

Our recipe for Millionaire Pie couldn’t be any easier to prepare because it’s made using 6 simple ingredients that you simply stir and pour into a store-bought crust.

The tropical-flavored pie filling is fruity, cool, and creamy with the perfect amount of pecan crunch; it’s truly a no-fuss family favorite dessert that looks and tastes like a million dollars (some think the pineapple chunks resemble gold nuggets)!

While some millionaire pie recipes require cream cheese that creates a cheesecake-type filling, I think these no bake pies with sweetened condensed milk make it a more traditional millionaire pie.

This easy millionaire pie is similar to an ambrosia salad, with its rich and refreshing base, but instead of being served as a side dish, it’s spread in a crust and sliced for dessert.

Why We Love This Millionaire Pie Recipe

  • Quick and easy to make in minutes.

  • No mixer or fancy equipment needed.
  • Sweet, creamy, comforting, and make-ahead delicious millionaire dessert.
  • Tropical twist of summer that is great for year-round gatherings.
  • Perfect to serve after a heavy Thanksgiving, Christmas, or holiday feast.

Tip From Our Recipe Developer

  • Feel free to substitute sweetened coconut flakes for the toasted flakes to garnish your pie.
  • Be aware that Millionaire Pie and Million Dollar Pie are 2 different recipes.
  • Adding some lemon juice to your pie filling may help thicken it so it sets up well.
  • Drain as much juice from the crushed pineapple as possible or your filling won’t set.
  • Move the pie to the freezer one hour before serving so the slices are sharp and clean.

Storage

  • To Store: Store any leftover pie covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • To Freeze: You can keep the pie in the freezer, covered, for up to 3 months. Slice while still frozen and serve.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I remove the liquid from the crushed pineapple?

To make sure that as much liquid is removed from the crushed pineapple, I usually place the drained pineapple on a thick layer of paper towels. Then lay a thick layer on top of the pineapple. Press down to “squeeze” the remaining liquid out. It’s important to remove the excess, or your pie will not set at all.

How do I remove the liquid from the jar of cherries?

I use the paper towel process for the chopped cherries. Place the cherries on a thick layer of paper towels. Then lay a thick layer on top of them. Press down to “squeeze” the remaining liquid out.

Can I make my own homemade Graham cracker crust?

You can absolutely make your own graham cracker crust from scratch. This recipe calls for a premade crust simply for ease and simplicity.

What is the difference between millionaire pie and million-dollar pie?

A Million Dollar Pie, not to be confused with this Millionaire Pie, is typically made with mandarin oranges or canned peaches in place of all or some of the crushed pineapple. A vanilla wafer or shortbread cookie crust is often used as well.
