What is Million Dollar Dip?
Million Dollar Dip—also known as Neiman Marcus Dip—is a rich, creamy appetizer that became a classic in the 1950s, thanks to Dallas chef Helen Corbitt. Known for its bold flavor and effortless prep, this version adds cream cheese and garlic to make it even more irresistible.
Ingredients

- Cream cheese: Use whipped cream cheese for easy mixing and a smooth texture.
- Mayonnaise: Classic mayo gives the dip its rich base, but you can substitute Greek yogurt or sour cream for a lighter twist.
- Shredded cheddar cheese: Freshly shredded cheddar off the block offers the best flavor and texture, but pre-shredded cheese works too.
- Green onions
- Garlic: A cube of crushed garlic works great, or substitute with 1 tablespoon of garlic paste.
- Cooked bacon: Use crispy bacon that’s been chopped into bits, or take a shortcut with store-bought real bacon bits like Hormel.

Jenn’s Notes
- Save a little bit of bacon and cheese for the top of the dip and sprinkle it over the top right before serving.
