Simply layer it all in the crock pot, set the timer, get some rest, and your slow cooker breakfast is ready for serving right when you walk in the kitchen.

Our slow cooker breakfast casserole is made using O’Brien hash browns to speed up the prep process, with the potatoes already chopped and more red and green bell peppers in the mixture.

When you’re not in the mood for something sweet (like a French Toast Casserole, Cinnamon Roll Waffles, or Blueberry Pancake Mix Muffins), nothing sounds more satisfying than a bacon and sausage breakfast casserole filled with gooey cheese, fluffy eggs, plus potatoes and protein of your choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use pre-packaged shredded cheese instead of freshly shredded cheese?

Yes, you can substitute pre-packaged shredded cheese for the freshly shredded cheese, but the pre-packaged shredded cheese is coated in a preservative to keep the cheese from sticking together. This means it does not have the same creaminess as freshly shredded cheese.

Is A Crockpot Insert safe to Put In The oven or Microwave?

Yes, the ceramic insert of a slow cooker is oven-safe up to 400°F and microwave-safe. However, the heating element and lid are not oven or microwave-safe because they are made of plastic and other materials that will melt.
