No-Bake Strawberry Cool Whip Pie

This cool and creamy Strawberry Cool Whip Pie features an easy-to-make fluffy filling piled into a premade graham cracker crust. It’s as simple as placing fresh fruit into the bottom of your cookie crust, filling it with a Jell-O and cool whip combination, then letting it set before you slice and serve the most delicious, perfectly pink pie.

What makes this Cool Whip Pie recipe stand out from all the rest is simply this: I bloom my gelatin to ensure a smooth texture and make sure there are no lumps or hard clumps of gelatin granules in my filling. It’s full of fresh berry flavor and the perfect sweet treat for warm weather pool parties, backyard barbecues, group get-togethers, or any time you crave the combination of cold graham cracker and strawberry cream!

Storage Tips

  • To Store: Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • To Freeze: I do not recommend freezing this dessert. The gelatin doesn’t freeze well and the texture and consistency will change once thawed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make my pie in advance?

You can absolutely make this Strawberry Cool Whip Pie in advance. Since it takes about 4 hours for this pie to set up in the fridge, so it is the perfect recipe to make ahead.

Can I freeze my Cool Whip Pie?

I do not recommend freezing this pie. When the pie thaws, it will cause the bottom of the pie to become soggy. It is best stored in the refrigerator.

Can I make a homemade graham cracker crust for my pie?

You can absolutely make your own graham cracker crust! Simply mix graham crumbs with about 5-6 tablespoons of melted butter and press it into your pie plate.

Can I use homemade whipped cream in my pie?

Yes, you can replace the Cool Whip with homemade whipped cream. If you do not have your own recipe, you can use 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 1/2 tbsp of powdered sugar (confectioners sugar) and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract. Combine them all in a bowl and whip them on a high setting. You’ll know it is done when you see high peaks form or see my recipe for homemade cool whip here!
