Substitutions and Additions

  • Graham Cracker Crust: For all you chocolate lovers out there, you could totally swap out the graham cracker crust for an Oreo crust. What’s better than peanut butter and chocolate? You could also make a homemade graham cracker crust with chocolate or regular graham crackers.
  • Roasted Peanuts: The roasted peanuts as a garnish are totally optional. You could leave them off, although they add a nice crunch! You could also swap them out for a different garnish altogether. Crushed Reese’s cups or Reese’s Pieces would be awesome to top the pie off!

Frequently Asked Questions

How to Serve This Recipe

When you’re ready to serve the pie, be sure to take it out of the freezer at least 5 to 10 minutes before you plan to serve it. That way, it will be the perfect softness when you go to cut it. It should have an ice cream like consistency.
You can serve it as is, or if you want to get a bit fancy you can add a few more garnishes. For example, I like to add a drizzle of chocolate syrup or melted peanut butter. It just gives it a nice look, and adds a bit of sweetness!
We also love to crush peanut butter cups or Reese’s Pieces on top to give it some other crunch and decoration.

How to Store This Recipe

You’ll want to keep any uneaten peanut butter pie (in the unlikely case that there is some) in the freezer. Simply rewrap it with the plastic wrap from before or put the plastic pie cover on top and pop it back in the freezer! Simple as pie. 😉
