We all need some new and creative activities for our kids to help keep our sanity! The days are getting shorter and colder. For many of us that means more time in the house.

We are all guilty of the easy fix – you know what I am talking about…screens. Xbox, iPad, TV, computer… The kids are happy, I can get some things done around the house – easy, yes….but it’s time to get creative!

I decided I would compile some ideas of some creative indoor activities to try out this winter! They all look easy (always important for me) and fun!!

I am always looking for more ideas – if you have any fun indoor activities, PLEASE let me know!!Great Indoor Activities“Laser” (Yarn) Obstacle Course from Ingspirations

  1. My nearly 17 year old son was reading over my shoulder when I was checking out your photos. The cardboard on the stairs was his favorite. Why didn’t I think of these ideas when he was a kid was his question to me. No stairs, no hallway, and no money for a Lego wall, but hell they were awesome ideas which I will tell everyone about. Thanks to Play-doh. home-made dough, diknkies, and books, my son was rarely bored.

  2. When I initially left a comment I appear to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are
added- checkbox and from now on every time a comment iss added I recieeve four emails with the
same comment. Perhaps there is an easy method you can remove mee from that service?

    Thanks!

  3. Hi Jennifer
I picked up your page from Pinterest and will be using some of these great ideas for my kids these coming school holidays in Aus. I love the font you’ve used in “Genius parent hacks” which looks like stitching from a sewing machine…could you let me know what it is called ? Thanks again for the great ideas ! Dee

  4. I know those long winter months are coming but these activities give me hope! We may get stuck inside but we’ll still have fun! Thanks so much for the roundup Jenn–I just pinned it!
