Cinnamon Bun Jello Shots

This Cinnamon Roll Shot recipe is similar to my Fireball jello shots, but instead of mixing the cinnamon whiskey with apple juice and cherry jello, these cinnamon jello shots are sweetened with cream soda.

To make our Fireball cream soda recipe, simply bloom the unflavored gelatin in whisky, add the hot water and soda, pour it into shot cups, and set them in the fridge to fuse.

Full of cinnamon flavor with a fraction of the calories as a cinnamon roll, I’ve taken the classic Fireball and cream soda drink and transformed it into a delicious dessert.

These jello shots with Fireball have the best balance of sweet and spicy – it’s the perfect party pairing in a boozy beverage that goes down without a burn.

How to Make Cinnamon Roll Jello Shots

  1. Bloom The Gelatin: Sprinkle the gelatin over the Fireball and leave it to sit for about 2 minutes or until it is no longer a powder.
  2. Make The Mixture: Add the boiling water to the mixture, stir to dissolve the gelatin, then stir in the cream soda.
  3. Pour: Fill each shot cup and chill for 2 hours or until set.
  4. Serve: Top with whipped cream and cinnamon. Serve and enjoy!

Tip From Our Recipe Developer

  • If you place all your empty shot glasses onto a small rimmed tray before filling them with the liquid it will be easier to transfer the jello shots to the refrigerator to chill.
  • I used a frosting bag and a 1M frosting tip to add the whipped cream. It makes for a cute swirl.
  • Be careful adding more liquid or alcohol. It will make the shots runny and never allow them to fully set up. If you don’t mind that, then go right ahead.
  • You may serve these with small spoons if you use the glass shots as they don’t just pop out of there like they would in plastic containers.

How to Store Jello Shots

  • To Store: Store your jello shots covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Do not add the garnish until just before serving.
