Baby Trail Mix Recipe With Cheerios and Yogurt Melts
Making a Baby Trail Mix recipe requires nothing more than a box of Cheerios, a bag of yogurt melts, freeze dried fruit, and a container of baby puffs; toss it all together and you’ve made a nutritious and flavorful snack mix for the whole family.
Traditional toddler trail mixes and finger foods for older babies can be tough on little teeth and tummies; too often, they’re filled with tons of sugar, big pieces (think choking hazard), preservatives, and artificial ingredients.
This baby and toddler trail mix recipe was specifically made with kids in mind – all of the ingredients are easy to eat and melt in your mouth so that those without teeth won’t have to chew.
Serve this healthy trail mix for kids as a side to lunch or take it as an on-the-go sweet treat, but just because it’s kid-friendly doesn’t mean adults won’t love it too!

Baby Trail Mix Ingredients
- Very Berry Cheerios
- Mixed berry yogurt melts: I use Happy Baby brand, but you can substitute for any other brand, like Gerber, of yogurt melts and/or puffs you wish.
- Freeze dried strawberries
- Strawberry & Beet flavored Baby Puffs: I used Happy Baby brand for this recipe.
Substitutions and Additions
- Make With Another Yogurt Melt: I used mixed berry yogurt melts for my baby mix recipe, but feel free to make yours with strawberry, very berry blend, or truly tropical blend.
- Freeze-Dried Fruit Flavors: Mix your snack with your favorite freeze-dried fruit, like blueberries, bananas, apples, or any other flavors.
- Pick Your Puff: I used Strawberry & Beet flavored baby puffs which compliment the taste of the other ingredients nicely. However you can use any flavor you prefer.
