While you can certainly use this air fryer recipe to prepare air fryer pickle chips, I prefer buying dill pickle quarters; I think they stay crunchier because there’s been less submerged in pickling liquid.

  1. Prepare Your Pickles: Dip the pickles in the flour, then in the egg and milk mixture, and lastly in the seasoned breadcrumbs. Place the pickles on the plate as you go.
  2. Cook: Place the pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket and spray the tops with cooking spray. Cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 minutes per batch.
  3. Serve: Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!

  • Arrange the pickles in the basket so they are not touching. You want to make sure the hot air can circulate evenly. You may have to cook them in multiple batches.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 pickles (12 quarters of pickles of 6 wholes cut in four-quarter)
  • cups Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Montreal Steak seasoning or regular steak seasoning
  • Cooking spray

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, place the flour.
  • In a second medium bowl, whisk the eggs.
  • In a third medium bowl, combine the Panko breadcrumbs and steak seasoning.
  • In order, dip the pickles in the flour, in the egg mixture, and in the breadcrumbs. Place the pickles on the plate as you go.
  • Spay the basket of the air with cooking spray. Place the pickles in a single layer in the basket and spray the top of the pickles with more cooking spray.
  • Cook at 380 ˚F for 6 minutes. Repeat with the second batches
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
