A few weeks ago, my husband and I had the pleasure to partner with Princess Cruise Line on the
most incredible cruise to the Mediterranean. We traveled on the
Royal Princess and visited amazing stops in France, Italy, Great Britain and Spain. One of our favorite stops was Barcelona. Barcelona is filled with incredible sites, history and, I cannot go on without gushing about the food!! (Thinking of going on a Mediterranean cruise –
check out my article on it here!)
One of our first stops when we got to Barcelona was the El Mercat de la Boqueria. This local market was more amazing than any outdoor market I have ever been to – my senses were on fire! I didn’t know where to look first – the colors, the scents, it was almost overwhelming (but in a really, really good way!)
One of the first things that caught my eye was the natural fruit smoothies. These were not just pleasing to the eye, but incredibly pleasing to the palate.
These fruit drinks are pretty much the first thing you see when you walk into the market and it was the first thing we tasted…let’s just say that we visited the market (and the juice bar) more than once in our day and a half in Barcelona!
(side note…this wasn’t our only favorite drink in Barcelona – the Sangria was out of this world! Check out my version of Princess Pinky Girl
Rainbow Sangria)
When we returned home, I couldn’t wait to try some of these colorful drinks with my family. Not only are they incredibly easy to make, but they are a healthy treat that my whole family loves! This is my favorite combination, but you can really substitute any fruits (or throw in some veggies). Experiment and have fun!

Looks great! Perfect for spring!
Jenn,
I am going to have to try this smoothie. The pineapple with the strawberry and raspberry with a little honey sounds extremely delicious to me. YUM!
Thanks for sharing!
