- To Freeze: You can freeze homemade Chex mix! To do so, make sure the mix is completely cooled after baking to prevent condensation. Transfer it to an airtight container or resealable freezer bags, removing as much air as possible to keep it fresh. It can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. When you’re ready to enjoy, thaw the Chex mix at room temperature for a few hours. For extra crispness, you can pop it in the oven at a low temperature for a few minutes to refresh it!
