No-Bake Oreo Pie Ingredients
- Oreo cookies: I used original Oreos for this recipe, but any brand of chocolate cream cookies will work—just avoid double-stuff or thins, as they’ll affect the results. You’ll need 35 cookies total. A standard pack has 36, so grab a family pack if you want extras for garnish. Use both the cookie and filling for the crust and pie. For a gluten-free option, use GF Oreos.
- Unsalted butter: Melted butter helps bind the Oreo cookie crumbs together, forming a cohesive crust to hold the filling.
- Cream cheese: Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps in the mixture. I prefer using full-fat cream cheese for this recipe because it gives the filling the most flavor and richness. Reduced-fat cream cheese would still work, but it may not be as rich-tasting.
- Powdered sugar: Sweetens and stabilizes the cream cheese mixture.
- Whipped topping: I like using a prepared whipped topping for my Oreo cream pie recipes, like Cool Whip, because it’s more stable and keeps well in the fridge. However, you can use homemade whipped cream like my Homemade Whipped Cream (Stabilized Recipe)!

How to Make Oreo Pie – Step-By-Step Instructions
- Create The Crust: Mix the crushed cookies with melted butter. To make the Oreo Pie Crust, press the oreo crumbs mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a pie pan and place in the fridge (I used a 9-inch pie plate).
- Form The Filling: Using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until soft and stiff peaks are formed. Fold in the whipped topping, followed by the chopped Oreo cookies.
- Cover The Crust: Spoon the filling into the pie crust and place in the fridge to chill for at least an hour before serving.
- Serve: Slice, serve, and enjoy!
Serving Suggestions
Oreo cookie pie recipes are great for any occasion, from casual family dinners to special celebrations or simply when you crave a cool and creamy treat.
For clean slices, run your knife under hot water or wipe it with a damp cloth between cuts.
Feeling fancy? Why not serve each slice with a dollop of Homemade Whipped Cream and place a mini Oreo cookie in the middle? Or, drizzle some fudge sauce and sprinkle more Oreo pieces on top of your dessert.
Tips & Variations
- Crush the Cookies: You can crush your Oreo cookies in a blender or food processor if you want them to have a consistency of fine crumbs, or you can place the cookies in a Ziploc bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Make sure you crush the entire cookie and do not remove the filling!
- Skip A Step: If preferred, you can substitute a store-bought, 9-inch pre-made Oreo pie crust.
- Create Your Crust: Use a flat-bottomed dry measuring cup to gently press and pack the cookie crumbs into the bottom and up the sides of the pie dish. This will create a uniform thickness for your chocolate cookie crust.
- Use Other Oreos: Choose your favorite flavor or type of Oreo cookies. Chocolate creme Oreos, birthday cake Oreos, and red velvet Oreos pair perfectly with the cookies and cream mousse mixture. You can even substitute gluten-free Oreo cookies for regular Oreo cookies.
- Serve It Sweeter: If you like desserts on the sweeter side, add 1 full cup of powdered sugar to the filling.
Proper Storage
- To Store: Store leftover pie covered in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- To Freeze: Wrap in plastic wrap and store in the freezer for up to 1 month. When ready to serve, defrost the frozen Oreo pie in the refrigerator.

Easy Peasy!!! Turned out GREAT!! I’m allergic to wheat/gluten and this was if course so easy to make gluten free!!
This is a great quick and easy pie! Its so good! Not too sweet!! Not too cream cheesy.
Home run! I followed the recipe exactly but added a pudding layer as suggested in the comments. I tried to pipe a whip cream heart on top but it looked sloppy so I smoothed it out and dabbed some left over pudding on top and swirled it with a toothpick. Looked all fancy pants and was delicious! Thank you this is a keeper!
Can i make this pie a few days in advance will it be ok in fridge?
This recipe was absolutely fantastic. It was easy to follow and quick to make. Everyone at the table loved it!
I made my very first Oreo cream pie using this recipe. The filling was very tasty but the crust was a little too sweet for my liking. So I made it again the next day with the left over Oreos but this time I took out the cream Oreo filling and only used the black Oreo wafer for the pie crust and the sweetness was perfect. Instead of wasting the Oreo cream filling, I added it to the pie filling and adjusted the icing sugar amount. I also added a little bit of chocolate pudding under the pie filling like one of the comments suggested. And OMG absolutely amazing. This recipe definitely inspired me to adjust and create my own so thank you to the blog author and all the comments. ☺️
Hi there! Hoping to make this soon and I had a question. Did you leave the filling in the oreos when making the crust? I was thinking of removing the cream filling and mixing it within the pie filling instead. Would that work as long as there’s enough melted butter for the crust?
Just made this for a teenager recovering from an illness ……and whose favorite dessert is Oreo Pie! Can’t wait to hear his reaction !!
