They are loaded with chocolate chips, and a few secret ingredients and they are so yummy.

The recipe has always been top secret, but Hilton has released it, so we can all enjoy the goodness of these cookies from the comfort of home!

What Makes DoubleTree Chocolate Chip Cookies So Good?

There are a few things that make Doubletree cookies stand out from the rest. As I’ve mentioned, they have a handful of secret ingredients, that you might not expect to find in a chocolate chip cookie recipe.

  • They have a large amount of walnuts that give them a crunch in every bite.
  • There is just the right amount of rolled oats added to create their perfect cookie texture.
  • A pinch of cinnamon gives them their unique flavor.
  • The most interesting secret ingredient is lemon juice! I was so surprised by this, too. The lemon juice reacts with the baking soda. So, adding lemon juice to these cookies gives them their insane chewiness, and keeps them tasting like they are fresh out of the oven.

Ingredients

Doubletree cookie ingredients follow along with what you’d expect in a traditional chocolate chip cookie with just a few twists!

Pay close attention, there might be a few unexpected ingredients to add to your shopping list. But, trust me when I say, they make these the life-changing cookies that they are!

  • ½ pound butter, softened (2 sticks)
  • ¾ cup + 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • 2 ⅔ cups Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 ¾ cups chopped walnuts

How to Make Hilton Doubletree Chocolate Chip Cookies at Home!

  1. CREAM butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  2. ADD eggs, vanilla and lemon juice until light and fluffy.
  3. MIX in flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon, blending for about 45 seconds. Don’t overmix.
  4. STIR chocolate chips and walnuts.
  5. SCOOP about 3 tablespoons onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper about 2 inches apart.
  6. BAKE at 300 degrees for 20 to 23 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and center is still soft.
  7. COOL on baking sheet for about 1 hour.

Pro Tips

Tip 1: As with most cookie recipes, the mixing of the ingredients is key in the consistency of your dough and ultimately the final outcome of your cookies. Be sure that you don’t overmix the batter in these!

Tip 2: You can freeze the unbaked cookies, and there’s no need to thaw. I love to make a double batch of these and freeze half of the dough for later! If you have leftover dough, place it in a freezer-safe container and put it in the freezer.

When ready to enjoy, simply preheat the oven to 300 degrees and place frozen cookies on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake until the edges are golden brown and the center is still soft.
