Cinnamon Toast Crunch Drink

Our Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cocktail is easy to make simply by combining RumChata and Fireball whisky with a warm white hot chocolate milk mixture and pouring it into a cinnamon sugar-rimmed mug.

This Fireball and RumChata drink recipe recreates the sweet and spicy cinnamon flavor of a favorite sugary breakfast cereal in the form of a boozy beverage; it’s made to mimic the creamy, sugary milk left at the bottom of the bowl after you’ve eaten all the cereal.

What Is RumChata

RumChata is a very sweet, Caribbean rum-based liqueur with a creamy body. It tastes smooth and milky, with a hint and notes of vanilla and cinnamon.

You can sip RumChata straight from the bottle, but it’s also an excellent liquor to use in shots and cocktails. It mixes well with coffee, hot chocolate, soda, and Fireball.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cocktail Ingredients

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cocktail ingredients.
  • Whole milk
  • White chocolate hot cocoa mix: I used Swiss Miss brand, but feel free to use your favorite.
  • RumChata cream liqueur
  • Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
  • Granulated sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Squirt whipped topping: I used Reddi-Wip Extra Creamy brand.
  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal

Substitutions and Additions

  • Serve It As A Shot: To make a cinnamon toast crunch shot, mix together equal parts Fireball and RumChata and pour it in the garnished glass. If desired, you can serve it over ice to dilute the drink and serve it as a cold cocktail.
  • Make It A Martini: To make a cinnamon toast crunch martini, add 2 ounces of Fireball and 4 ounces of RumChata to a cocktail shaker with ice, shake, and then pour into a martini garnished glass.
  • Make A Milkshake: To make a cinnamon toast crunch milkshake, blend together vanilla ice cream with Fireball and RumChata and enjoy a decadent boozy beverage.
  • Garnish Your Glass: Instead of a cinnamon sugar rimmed glass, you can coat the rim of your class in crushed cereal. Add a cinnamon stick for some extra spice or even a skewer of toasted marshmallow.
  • Make Without Milk Or Cocoa Mix: If you don’t care about using the actual milk in your drink and want a cocktail that tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, you can recreate the taste with RumChata, Fireball, and vanilla vodka (to replace the milk and white chocolate mix).

Tips For Making Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cocktail

  • If you are not fond of the larger pieces, you can crush the cinnamon toast crunch cereal and sprinkle it onto the whipped topping as a garnish.
  • I like the convenience of the individual packets of white chocolate hot cocoa mix. You can certainly use your favorite brand, even if it is in bulk, for this cocktail. Remember that the better quality brand of white chocolate hot cocoa mix you use, the tastier your cocktail will be.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use low-fat or fat-free milk for this drink recipe?

I prefer to use whole milk for its richness in this cocktail. 2% milk will also work. I have not tried this with low-fat, non-fat, or dairy-free milk, but you can certainly use the milk that suits your preferences. You will want to be mindful that it may not taste the same as the recipe as written.

Can I use a smaller size mug for my cocktail?

That is fine if your glass mug is slightly smaller than the one used in this recipe. You don’t want to use any smaller than a 12-ounce mug. Keep in mind that if a smaller mug is used, you will not fit as much of the whipped topping in the mug as what is used for this cocktail recipe.
