Did you know you can transform a simple bunch of grapes into an elegant and delightful party appetizer? Boozy grapes are all the rage, offering a burst of juicy sweetness with a delightful boozy twist. Infused with hard seltzer and vodka, a delightful twist that are easy to make and promises to be the star of the party.
Boozy Grapes Recipe
Our Boozy Grapes put a unique spin on TikTok trending sugared prosecco grapes recipes – these little boozy bites are marinated in a mix of watermelon White Claw and vodka rather than champagne or sparkling wine so they’re filled with even more fruity flavor.
Hard seltzer vodka grapes are great for serving grown-up guests. But be careful! Because the sweetness of the sugar hides the intensity of the alcohol, they’re hard to stop eating!
Boozy Grapes Ingredients
- Seedless grapes: I like to use medium-sized seedless green grapes to make these alcoholic snacks. You can also use seedless red grapes or a combination of each. Make sure they are removed from the stem and rinsed clean before soaking.
- Watermelon White Claw: You can use your favorite bubbly booze, like champagne or prosecco, or swap the watermelon for another flavor.
- Vodka: You can substitute watermelon-flavored vodka for plain vodka for an even more intense watermelon flavor.
- Lime juice: Use freshly squeezed lime juice for best results.
- Granulated sugar: Adds a sweet coating to these alcohol-infused desserts.

How to Make Boozy Grapes
- Soak: Soak the grapes in a mixture of white claw, vodka and fresh lime juice. Cover with a lid and refrigerate for a minimum of 8-12 hours or up to 24 hours.
- Coat: Drain the liquid from the grapes and roll in sugar to coat.
- Freeze: Freeze for a minimum of 2 hours or until completely frozen.
- Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy!
Serving Suggestions
Boozy Grapes are perfect for snacking poolside, serving as an appetizer at an adult party, or enjoying something sweet after dinner for dessert. Alcoholic grapes are great for New Year’s Eve celebrations, Christmas, birthdays, and brunch. But you don’t need a special occasion to spike your snack with a bit of booze!
You can skewer your grapes to garnish cocktail glasses, pour water over them as you would ice, or pile them on a plate for finger food. They’re delicious!
Tips & Variations
- I like to use a large slotted spoon to lift the sugar-coated grapes out of the bowl. This allows all the excess sugar to drop back into the bowl.
- This recipe can easily be doubled if serving dessert to a large crowd.
- Be sure to label these sugared grapes “adults only,” as they contain alcohol, and we don’t want the kids to mistake them for one of their snacks.
- The longer you soak your grapes, the more flavor they will have. For the best results, I recommend 8-12 hours or up to 24 hours.
- You can make a non-alcoholic, kid-friendly version by swapping out the White Claw and vodka and using flavored seltzer as a substitute. Or check out my Sour Patch Grapes and Caramel Apple Grapes recipes for other bite-sized snacks without any booze!
Proper Storage
- To Store: Place the frozen grapes in a lidded, freezer safe container, and store for up to 2 months in the freezer.
