1poundseedless green grapesremoved from the stem and rinsed clean
12ouncecan1 ½ cups Watermelon White Claw
3ouncesvodka
1tablespoonfresh squeezed lime juice
½cupgranulated sugar
Instructions
To a medium container (that has a lid) add the seedless green grapes, watermelon white claw, vodka and fresh lime juice. Make sure that all your grapes are covered in the watermelon white claw mixture. Cover with the lid and refrigerate for a minimum of 8-12 hours or up to 24 hours.
1 pound seedless green grapes, 12 ounce can, 3 ounces vodka, 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice
Line a medium rimmed sheet tray with a piece of parchment paper.
To a shallow bowl add the granulated sugar. Set aside.
½ cup granulated sugar
Transfer the soaked green grapes to a strainer and allow as much of the watermelon white claw liquids to drain off of the grapes as possible.
Roll 6-8 grapes in the granulated sugar until fully coated. Using a large slotted spoon, lift the sugar coated grapes, allowing all the excess sugar to drop back into the bowl, and transfer them to the prepared sheet pan. Repeat until all the grapes have been fully coated in sugar. Be sure that your grapes are in a single layer on the sheet pan.
Place the pan of sugar coated watermelon white claw grapes into the freezer for a minimum of 2 hours or until the grapes freeze completely.
Remove the frozen watermelon white claw grapes from the sheet pan and serve immediately.
Notes
Storage:
To Store: Place the frozen grapes in a lidded, freezer safe container, and store for up to 2 months in the freezer.
Tips:
I like to use a large slotted spoon to lift the sugar coated grapes out of the bowl. This makes it easy for all the excess sugar to drop back into the bowl.
This recipe can easily be doubled if serving dessert to a large crowd.
Be sure to label these sugared grapes “adults only” as there is alcohol in them and we don’t want the kids to mistake them for one of their snacks.
The longer you soak your grapes, the more flavor they will have. I recommend 8-12 hours or up to 24 hours for the best results.
You can make a non-alcoholic, kid-friendly version by swapping out the White Claw and vodka and using flavored seltzer as a substitute. Or check out my Sour Patch Grapes and Caramel Apple Grapes recipes for other bite-sized snacks without any booze!
