Substitutions and Additions
- Make With Another Mix: You can substitute a sugar cookie mix or snickerdoodle cookie mix for the chocolate chip cookie mix, but I recommend adding in an additional cup of chocolate chips as well. Or to change it up even further you can use a peanut butter cookie mix to enhance the peanut flavor from the snickers bars or an oatmeal cookie mix to add extra texture.
- Use Other Oil: You can use any neutral flavored oil such as vegetable oil, avocado oil, or even melted butter, though the cookies may flatten if hot butter is used.
- Make Without Milk: You can substitute heavy cream, half and half, or even water in a pinch.
- Swap The Snickers: You can swap the Snickers Original Chocolate bars with a variety of other Snickers flavors, such as Snickers Peanut Brownie Squares, Snickers Peanut Butter Squared bars, or Snickers Almond candy. You can also try a similar type of candy bar, like Milky Way, Twix (check out my homemade Twix cookies too), Baby Ruth, Rolo, or KitKat.
- Make With Mix-Ins: Feel free to mix in more snickers, extra chocolate chips, M&Ms, or peanuts, or your favorite kind of candy.
How to Make Snickers Cookies
- Make The Dough: Combine the cookie mix, oil, milk, and egg to form a soft dough. Then, fold in the chopped snickers.
- Bake: Scoop out the cookie dough and place on the baking sheet, about 1 inch apart. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown and set on the edges.
- Serve: Serve warm or cooled. Enjoy!
Tips For Making The Best Snickers Cookies
