Snickers Chocolate Chip Cookies

Our chocolate chip Snickers Cookie recipe is quick and easy to make using a simple shortcut to save time in the kitchen. A chocolate chip cookie mix combined with oil, milk, and an egg creates the best (and fastest) base for stuffing with Snickers bars and then baking into a big batch.

These Snickers bar cookies make baking simple because most ingredients are already in the mix!

These cookies are packed with pieces of candy and melted milk chocolate chips in every single bite; these treats take a classic chocolate cookie over the top!

Why We Love Chocolate Chip Snickers Cookies

  • Quick and easy to make in minutes using a cookie mix shortcut.
  • Uses only 5 simple ingredients.
  • Candy bar cookies are a great way to use any leftover Halloween or holiday candy you have on hand.
  • Creating Snickers cookie dough from a mix makes baking super simple (because the baking soda, flour, and sugar are already in the bag) and leaves you with one bowl to clean and minimal measuring.
  • Decadently delicious Snickers dessert that you can customize with other kinds of candy.

See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.

Substitutions and Additions

  • Make With Another Mix: You can substitute a sugar cookie mix or snickerdoodle cookie mix for the chocolate chip cookie mix, but I recommend adding in an additional cup of chocolate chips as well. Or to change it up even further you can use a peanut butter cookie mix to enhance the peanut flavor from the snickers bars or an oatmeal cookie mix to add extra texture.
  • Use Other Oil: You can use any neutral flavored oil such as vegetable oil, avocado oil, or even melted butter, though the cookies may flatten if hot butter is used.
  • Make Without Milk: You can substitute heavy cream, half and half, or even water in a pinch.
  • Swap The Snickers: You can swap the Snickers Original Chocolate bars with a variety of other Snickers flavors, such as Snickers Peanut Brownie Squares, Snickers Peanut Butter Squared bars, or Snickers Almond candy. You can also try a similar type of candy bar, like Milky Way, Twix (check out my homemade Twix cookies too), Baby Ruth, Rolo, or KitKat.
  • Make With Mix-Ins: Feel free to mix in more snickers, extra chocolate chips, M&Ms, or peanuts, or your favorite kind of candy.

Tips For Making The Best Snickers Cookies

  • You can use full-sized, snack sized or mini snickers for this recipe. Just be sure to chop them well.
  • The cookie dough may seem slightly dry but will come together once well mixed. Use a spatula to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl, and use your hands if needed to be sure everything is well combined.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store my cookies?

You should store your snickers cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh and prevent them from drying out. They can be stored at room temperature for up to 5 days. If you would like to store them for a longer period of time, you can keep them in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Can I freeze my cookies?

Yes, you can freeze your cookies as long as they are wrapped well in plastic wrap or aluminum foil before storing them in the freezer. When you’re ready to eat them, simply remove the desired number of cookies from the container and allow them to come to room temperature before serving.

Can I make my Cookie dough from scratch??

Yes, you can absolutely make your cookie dough from scratch and stuff it with something sweet. Either use a recipe you have on hand or try some of my other stuffed cookie recipes, like my Cookie Monster Cookies, Peanut Butter Stuffed Cookies, and more.

Can I use this recipe to bake cookie bars?

I don’t see why you cannot use this recipe to bake cookie bars! My Snickers Brownies are made just like these cookies, but bake in a square pan and are sliced instead of rolled round.
