How to Make Fireball Fudge

  1. Make The Fudge Mixture: Microwave the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter for 2 minutes. Stir until smooth and completely incorporated. Add the Fireball cinnamon whisky and vanilla extract and stir until the fudge mixture is uniform consistency.
Pro Tip: Your butter cubes will not completely melt after 2 minutes in the microwave, which is ok.
  2. Pour In The Pan: Spread the fudge into an even-layer pan. Tap the pan on the counter to force any air bubbles to the surface. Chill in the fridge for 2 hours or until fully set.
  3. Slice And Serve: Slice and serve. Enjoy!

How To Melt Chocolate In The Microwave

A 1000-watt microwave was used for this recipe, and it took 2 minutes to melt the chocolate. If your microwave is a different wattage, it may take slightly more or less time to melt your chocolate chips. I suggest heating in 30-second increments after the 2-minute mark to prevent chocolate burning.

Tips For Making The Best Fireball Fudge

  • I highly suggest using a good-quality milk chocolate chip brand for this recipe. I find that the generic brands do not melt as well, and the chocolate can tend to seize up when using the microwave to melt. You can use a semi-sweet chocolate chip, or a combination of both chips, as well for this recipe.
  • I like to line my pan with parchment paper to lift out the fudge and cut it on a cutting board instead of in the pan.
  • Be sure you use sweetened condensed milk and not evaporated milk. Your fudge will not set if you use evaporated milk.
  • To cut your fudge, it’s best to use a large chef knife. You can warm the knife by running it under warm water, then dry it off with a towel before slicing.
  • This Fireball fudge can be served at room temperature or chilled.

How to Store Homemade Fudge

  • To Store: You can store this fudge in an airtight container, in the refrigerator, for up to 2 weeks.
  • To Freeze: You can freeze your fudge for up to 2 months, tightly wrapped in aluminum foil.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you freeze Fudge?

You can freeze fudge for up to 2 months, tightly wrapped in aluminum foil. Be sure to thaw this fudge in the refrigerator before serving. I suggest pre-cutting the servings before freezing so you can take out just the amount of fudge you want to enjoy at a time.

Can I use evaporated milk instead of sweetened condensed milk?

Sweetened condensed milk is NOT the same as canned evaporated milk. They can not be substituted for each other in recipes. They are typically found next to each other on the grocery store baking aisle shelf. Be sure to use a spoon, or small rubber spatula, to scrape out all the thick, sweetened condensed milk from the can, as you need all of the contents for this recipe.

so far so good. just as simple as it sounds. waiting for it to harden. just a hint of the fire ball. enough to say. “what is that flavor”?
