How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas
- Prepare The Protein And Produce: Drizzle oil over the chicken, peppers, and onion. Sprinkle with seasoning and toss until coated.
- Cook: Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 14 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees, stirring once halfway through.
- Serve: Serve in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
Tips For Making The fajitas in the Air Fryer
- If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat function, set it to 400 degrees F and let it run for 4-5 minutes before adding the fajitas.
- The cooking time may vary based on your air fryer model and the thickness of your chicken strips. I always recommend checking the internal temperature of one of the thickest pieces of chicken to ensure it is fully cooked before serving.
- Cut your chicken and veggies the same size and thickness to ensure they cook evenly.
- You can substitute a packet of taco seasoning for the fajita seasoning in this recipe. I have done this in a pinch and it was equally as delicious.

Jenn’s Notes
- To Store: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three months.
- To Freeze: I do not recommend freezing the cooked fajitas as the texture of the veggies becomes mushy when thawed.
- To Reheat: Reheat leftovers in a 350 degree air fryer for 3-4 minutes or in the microwave for 2-3 minutes.
