Substitutions and Additions
- Choose Your Chocolate: You can use milk chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips to make your fudge.
- Replace The Reese’s: Experiment with other candy or cookie pieces, including homemade candy. Just make sure it tastes good with chocolate!
- Make With More Mix-Ins: Feel free to stir in some coconut flakes, dried fruit, mini marshmallows, crushed pretzels, chopped cookies, or Reese’s Pieces to customize your candy.
- Vegan Version: To make Vegan Fudge, replace the condensed milk for condensed coconut milk and use dairy-free chocolate chips.
How to Make Reese’s Fudge
- Melt: Microwave the sweetened condensed milk for 1 minute. Stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Microwave for another 30 seconds if it’s not melting. Mix in the chopped Reese’s.
Pro Tip: Work quickly, the fudge starts to set really quickly. - Pour In The Pan: Pour the chocolate mixture into the pan and smooth it out before it starts to set. Top it with the remaining Reese’s.
- Set, Slice, And Serve: Allow the fudge to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes or until set. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
Pro Tip: You can put it into the refrigerator for a quick set, but do not leave it in for more than 5 minutes.
Tips For Making the Best Peanut Butter Fudge
- Be sure to use sweetened condensed milk and not evaporated milk. The fudge will not thicken up or set with evaporated milk.
- This fudge is best eaten at room temperature. It will melt if heated and chilling it will dry it out quickly.
- If you prefer a smoother texture, make your fudge with Reese’s Creamy Peanut Butter Cups, but if you’re looking for a bit of crunch, try using Reese’s Crunchy Peanut Butter Cups in your candy.
- I used an 8×8-inch baking dish to make my fudge, but you could use a larger 9×13 size or smaller one too. Remember that the fudge will be thinner in a larger dish and thicker in a smaller dish.
- If you choose use a 9×13 dish, double the recipe so your squares are the same size when sliced.
- Feel free to spray your pan with nonstick cooking spray instead of parchment paper.
How to Store Reese’s Fudge
- To Store: This fudge is best stored at room temperature and will stay fresh for up to 3 weeks.
- To Freeze: Store this fudge in the freezer for up to 3 months if wrapped well and placed in a freezer-safe container. Allow it to thaw at room temperature before serving.

I made this I follow recipe and the fudge did not set
You can’t call the “vegan version” vegan fudge because the Reese’s still have milk chocolate in it.. you could* however call both versions vegetarian..
