Pecan Pie Oatmeal
The feature of this Pecan Pie Oatmeal is the toasted oats. And when paired with the brown sugar and cinnamon, this dish resembles a decadent pecan pie, only in a healthy breakfast form!

Ingredients

cup
old fashioned oats
¾
cup
milk or water
⅛
teaspoon
cinnamon
1
tablespoon
brown sugar
¼
teaspoon
vanilla extract
¼
cup
chopped toasted pecans
Instructions
Add the pecans to a skillet and heat over low heat stirring until a toasted brown color. Set aside to cool.
Pour the old fashioned oats and milk into a medium sized bowl. Microwave for approximately 1 minute or until oats are softened.
Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir to combine.
Add in some of the toasted pecans and mix into the oatmeal. Top with remaining pecans.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
