Overnight French Toast Casserole

Ingredients

French or Italian bread

eggs

whole milk

heavy whipping cream

sugar

brown sugar

vanilla extract

all-purpose flour

brown sugar

cinnamon

cold, cut into pieces
Instructions
Using non-stick cooking spray or butter, grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Place the bread cubes into the baking dish.
In a bowl, mix together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar and vanilla. Pour evenly over bread.
Cover your pan with plastic wrap tightly and refrigerate overnight.
In a medium bowl mix together flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Using a pastry blender or 2 forks, cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly. Cover and store in the refrigerator overnight.
In the morning, preheat the oven to 350F.
Remove the pan from the refrigerator. Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture evenly over the bread.
Bake for 45-60 minutes until the bread is as soft as you prefer and the top is beginning to get golden brown.
Notes
Storage:
To Store: Store any leftovers, covered with plastic wrap, in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
To Freeze: Freeze in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
To Reheat: Reheat the French toast in the oven or microwave.
Tips:
Use fresh, thick pieces of bread.
Serve while warm! This dish is best served right out of the oven.
