Grinch Jello Shots are colored Grinch-green and festively flavored for the holidays. Quick and easy to make with or without alcohol, it's always fun to slurp a spiked sip of a Christmas cocktail served as finger food!
In a medium pan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil, remove from heat and add in green jello mix and whisk until fully dissolved.
Add peppermint extract and vodka if making these boozy.
Pour cooled mixture into shot glasses and place into the refrigerator to set, around 2 hours or overnight.
Top jello shots with whipped cream and a red heart! Enjoy ☺
Notes
Serving: About 12 shots – 2 oz cupsStorage:
To Store: You can store your jello shots covered in the fridge for up to a week. Leave off the garnish until just before serving.
To Freeze: I do not recommend freezing.
Tips:
I like to line up my shot glasses on a flat, firm, moveable surface like a tray or cookie sheet. This makes it easier to move them back and forth from the fridge.
I used an injector to fill my shot cups because it’s quicker and less messy. However, a pourable measuring cup works as well.
Do not garnish your jello shots unless you’re serving them right away.
Be sure to allow your Grinch jello shot liquid to cool completely before pouring it into the shot glasses. If the liquid is still boiling it could melt plastic shot glasses or crack the glass.
Do not boil the vodka in the pan with the water or you will burn out the alcohol.
