Butterfinger Puppy Chow is even better than before because there's chopped candy bars in every bite! A delicious snack mix with a sweet and salty crunch.

1¼cuppowdered sugarsifted
Instructions
Add the cereal to an extra large bowl.
7 cups Rice Chex Cereal
In a microwave safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Microwave on high for 1 minute, and stir well until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, ½ cup creamy peanut butter, ¼ cup salted butter
Stir in the vanilla until well combined.
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Drizzle the chocolate peanut butter mixture over the cereal. Gently stir to coat the cereal.
Stir in the 15 crushed Butterfinger candy.

Sprinkle the powdered sugar over the coated cereal mixture and stir, or you can add the coated cereal to an extra large (2 gallon) ziplock bag and shake. (The ziplock bag is what I went with as it keeps the powdered sugar contained and makes cleaning up much easier)
1¼ cup powdered sugar
After the cereal is coated in the powdered sugar, spread out on a baking sheet to dry. Just before serving sprinkle in the 3 chopped fun size candy bars.
Notes
Storage :
To Store: Store any leftovers in an airtight container or a ziplock bag for up to 5 days.
To Freeze: You can freeze puppy chow for up to 3 months. Make sure your Ziploc bag is tightly sealed and pop it in the freezer. Then, simply place it on the countertop to thaw.
Tips :
To crush the Butterfinger candy bars, place them in a ziplock bag and use a rolling pin or mallet to smash them into small pieces; alternatively, you can put them in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
For the powdered sugar step, you can sprinkle the powdered sugar over the coated cereal mixture and stir, or you can add the coated cereal and powdered sugar to an extra large plastic bag and shake. I prefer using a ziplock bag because it keeps the powdered sugar contained and makes cleaning up much easier.
I like to spread the coated cereal on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet and let it rest for 20 minutes. This helps keep the cereal from sticking together and prevents it from becoming soggy.
This Butterfinger puppy chow recipe makes the perfect base for tossing with your other favorite candies and savory snacks. Use various colors and textures to make it festive for the holidays or appropriate for special occasions.
For extra crunch, stir in some M&Ms, sprinkles, Reese’s Pieces, crushed candy, cookie pieces, or chopped nuts.
