Spread the coated sausage pieces into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 45 minutes, uncovered, stirring every 15 minutes until the BBQ sauce is reduced and bubbly.
Notes
Storage :
To Store: Store any leftovers in an airtight container or ziplock bag in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
To Freeze: Store in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 2-3 months in the freezer. Allow the sausage bites to thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
To Reheat: To reheat, you can heat in a 350 degrees F oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or in a microwave for 1 to 1 ½ minutes.
Tips:
Once coated in sauce, you can now bake your bites right away or cover and refrigerate them until you're ready to eat.
Spray a bit of non-stick spray to prevent sticking to the pan, but don't overdo it since sausage often releases some fat.
For crispier edges, you can broil the sausage for 2 to 3 minutes.
Got A Grill? The sliced sausage can be skewered, coated and cooked on the grill until crispy.
