Hi Princess Pinky Girl fans! Kristen from PracticalMommy.com here to help Create A Fun And Stress-free Holiday Season. To do that, I’m going to share 5 tips that will get you ready for the holidays. Plus, I created 2 free printable Holiday checklists for you to download and use to make sure you have a stress-free holiday. (You may have seen my great Thanksgiving Checklists that I created, if not, but sure to check them out)
5 Tips To Create A Fun And Stress-free Holiday Season
Tip #1 – Plan ahead
Seriously, anything you can do ahead of time – do it! Budget for gifts, plan your holiday cards waaaay in advance and even do some cooking if you can. Personally, I love to freeze cookie dough, so I always have some ready when I need a quick treat.
Tip #2 – Clean Clean Clean
You might be having people over to your house, so you need to clean it from top to bottom. You can bet that people will snoop around and find where you’re tossed all the stuff you didn’t want to put away. Start early and keep it up – that’s the easiest way to clean. Then it doesn’t seem like you have to do SO much the day before everyone gets there.
More tricks on how to create the perfect cleaning schedule.
Tip #3 – Make a checklist (or three or four)
I live by my checklists. I make a new one each day, and even include things like “laundry” and “dishes” which is so silly because they are on the list every stinking day. But I just love to cross something off my list. If it wasn’t on my list, I add it to my list, just so I can cross it off.
I created these two free printables for you to keep track of your holiday festivities. It’s so much nicer making a list, when it’s pretty, right? Print it as many times as you like and use it to plan things like you gift buying, budget, holiday décor and menu, etc.

Tip #4 – Keep the holiday spirit
Don’t be a Scrooge McDuck during the holidays. That’s my best tip to keep things fun. It’s easy to get stressed out, so make a vow to yourself that you will not be like Scrooge McDuck and keep to it.
Tip #5 – Relax
Don’t forget to find some time for yourself. Don’t let things get to you if you can and just remember to relax! The holidays are about being with your loved ones – not the nitty gritty menu planning details. Don’t let yourself forget the forest for the trees.
