Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use pre-packaged shredded cheese instead of freshly shredded cheese?

Yes, you can substitute pre-packaged shredded cheese for the freshly shredded cheese, but the pre-packaged shredded cheese is coated in a preservative to keep the cheese from sticking together. This means it does not have the same creaminess as freshly shredded cheese.

Is A Crockpot Insert safe to Put In The oven or Microwave?

Yes, the ceramic insert of a slow cooker is oven-safe up to 400°F and microwave-safe. However, the heating element and lid are not oven or microwave-safe because they are made of plastic and other materials that will melt.
