New to cruising? No worries, I can help you choose the right cruise line!
So, I don’t claim to be a travel agent, well, I take that back, I did do a brief stint as a Travel Agent (seriously, I was Travel Agent Jenn, granted it was short lived…. look it up on Facebook!) I have a passion for travel and as I mentioned before, I especially love cruising. After my last post on Things to Remember to Bring on Your Cruise – I received a ton of questions about picking a cruise line. So, I thought I would share some of my experiences. Remember these are just my opinions.
Let’s get right to it…..Disney is by far my favorite cruise line. Even if you are not going with kids, their service is second to none, their food amazing and their ships are top notch. Celebrity is a great line too! More upscale, less kids – but overall great. Not a huge fan of Carnival. Royal Caribbean is hit or miss – their older ships are very tired, their newer ships are really big but the service lacks.Norwegian I like. I have only been on one of the newer ships, but I really liked it – food was good, service good, not great, but good. The rooms on some ships are a little funky, so beware of that. Whatever ship you choose, research your stateroom options – they are not created equal. There is a great site for Disney where you can enter the ship name and stateroom number and you can get past passenger reviews. I have used this every time I have booked on Disney – here’s the link: https://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomlist.cfm. Cruise Critic also has some cabin reviews that I have used when booking – https://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/cabin-reviews/. I find Cruise Critic to be a great resource. If you have specific questions, hop on one of their forums and past passengers are always happy to answer.
We are heading on the Disney Magic in a few weeks – SO excited! I will be doing a follow up post after to share some info and tips. I will also be going on a girls trip on Princess and will be writing about that as well!
Happy to answer any other questions!
