Hi Princess Pinky Girl fans! Kristen from PracticalMommy.com here to help you solve a very serious baby clutter problem. Before I had kids, my house stayed relatively neat and clean. I had a guest room and plenty of storage. Add a baby into the mess and I had to start getting creative with how I managed the clutter. There wasn’t just a ton of stuff, there was a ton of teeny tiny stuff. It’s not stuff you can hang up like your clothes in your closet. My solution? Storage bins. Check out my baby organization tips!
I found these amazing stackable storage bins at Target. I’ve also used clear plastic “shoe boxes” with lids that I have found at the Dollar Store. So don’t think it takes a lot of money to get organized. Use inexpensive bins to organize your things.
5 ways to manage the baby clutter with storage bins
#1 – Diapers
My absolute favorite way to use storage bins to manage baby clutter is with diapers. These storage bins hold enough newborn and size 1 diapers for a few days. And when you size up in diapers, you can place them in the bin in the opposite direction. It will hold less diapers in a larger size, but then again you use fewer diapers as kids get older.
#2 – Drawer separation for Socks/Bibs
Baby socks are so cute! And also so tiny! If you don’t manage them well, they will get lost quick. Especially in a nice big dresser drawer. You can easily separate a large drawer with one or multiple storage bins. Use them to organize baby socks, bibs, even pants and shorts for the newborns.
#3 – Hair bows
Moms go crazy over cute ribbons and bows for their baby girls. And why not? Babies look absolutely adorbs with giant pink bows around their little bald heads. Even boys have baseball caps and beanies that need to be organized. Keep them in one place with a storage bin.
#4 – Shoes
Everything for babies is small. That means it is so hard to keep organized. And even though we know babies don’t need shoes – they’re still impossible to say no to! Even if they are just for show. Place them in a storage bin in the closet, or even in a dresser drawer to keep them safe.
#5 – In the closet
They make baby sized hangers for onesies and shirts, but how are you supposed to manage pants and shorts? Easy! With a storage bin. If your closet has a shelf, just place one or two stacking storage bins on the shelf to keep the pants and shorts all together.
What are your favorite ways to use storage bins? They are so versatile. Please leave a comment with your tips!
